N.O.R.E. Gets On Health Kick & Becomes Vegan, Loses 65 Lbs.

I won’t even lie and say that we haven’t joked around about N.O.R.E’s tubbiness in VIMBY HQ. I would like to say that the rap game isn’t as superficial as Hollywood would have you think, but that’s not true at all. Take a look at this swipe…

nore the slimmy

Last year, we saw a much different N.O.R.E. when he surfaced with quite a bit of extra weight on him. However, he’s changing that by getting healthy, and as reportedly lost over 65 pounds.Via his new blog, 57thAve (I would like to injertect by saying N.O.R.E’s blog is hood-tactular lmao, you gotta see for yourself), the rapper said that via a vegan diet and exercise, he’s been able to shed a few pounds, which he’s been documenting in a 12-part vlog.

Despite the weight-loss, it’s still the same old N.O.R.E. though.

“We are switching it up from the Hang Hang Hood Chicken blogs, to the Hang Hang Hood Vegan blogs. Same N.O.R.E., same hood talk,” he said….to finish reading, new tab HERE

Glad to see he’s getting his act together. Maybe this’ll motivate a lot of little tubbers around America (if they even know who N.O.R.E is). However I must note that he isn’t the first rapper to switch styles. I recall Young Jeezy or Young Jock (young someone) and his crew making a $3000 bet to see who could get the fittest.

You can thank BallerStatus for this lovely swipe.

NY State Proposing ‘iTaxes’

 iQuit

With the economy in such a sh**ty state, New York is trying to enact this “iTax”.

The state is staring at a $15.4 billion deficit so Gov. David Paterson is proposing an “iPod tax” as part of his state budget. Under the plan, New York would charge state and local sales tax for “digitally delivered entertainment services,” according to a story in The New York Daily News.

That includes e-books downloaded to Amazon’s Kindle as well as for the digital songs obtained from Apple’s iTunes. If the state legislature passes the governor’s plan, the price of digital content for New Yorkers is sure to go up. The tax would also apply to sporting events, movie tickets, taxis, and satellite TV and radio.

I swear their going to start taxing the air breathe any time soon.
