Launching a Live Program During a Global Pandemic

Johnson & Johnson, in an effort to create a quick response to the COVID19 crisis, looked to VIMBY to help create a tool to educate, engage and inform. Together we developed J&J’s first LIVE, social-first programming.

The weekly original video series airs live on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter and is simulcast globally across J&J and its partners’ channels. It explores the pandemic news cycle and showcases how the scientific community develops vaccines generally and is working specifically to develop one for COVID-19.

Traditional production approaches – or even a controlled studio environment  – were not able to be leveraged. So J&J looked to VIMBY and its deep experience with live productions, remote production teams and a decentralized production model to create a suitable solution.

VIMBY’s team developed, researched and wrote each episode, designed all title packages and graphic elements, engineered each localized production set-up, edited any roll-in packages, managed talent and clearances and oversaw episode encoding and streaming – 100% remotely.
